Reviews & Referrals Guide

🌟 SYSTEM 7: Referral & Review

Goal: Turn happy customers into your #1 growth channel through referrals and glowing reviews.

🔍 1. The Outcome

Create a system that consistently encourages satisfied clients to share their experience and send new business your way — without awkward begging or forgetting to ask.

🚧 2. The Problem

Most businesses “hope” people will leave a review or refer someone… but they never ask. And when they do, it’s inconsistent, too late, or not compelling — missing out on one of the most trusted forms of marketing.

🧱 3. The Framework: The “A.S.K.” Referral & Review Method

  1. Ask at the Right Time – When they’re happiest, not when it’s convenient
  2. Simplify the Process – Make leaving a review or sharing your info easy
  3. Kickstart with Incentives – Give a reason to take action now

💬 4. Key Questions to Answer

ASK AT THE RIGHT TIME:

  • When is the customer most excited or satisfied with your service?
  • Do you have a reminder or system to ask right at that moment?
  • Do your team members know when and how to ask?

SIMPLIFY THE PROCESS:

  • What link or page can you send them to leave a review?
  • How do you make it easy to refer a friend? (Card, QR code, email forward, etc.)
  • Do you give sample wording they can use when referring you?

KICKSTART WITH INCENTIVES:

  • What small gift, discount, or entry into a giveaway could you offer?
  • Do you reward both the referrer and the new customer?
  • Do you follow up and thank them when they refer someone or leave a review?

🛠️ 5. Build Plan

✅ Choose the moment when you’ll ask for a review/referral

✅ Create a simple review request message (text/email with a link)

✅ Build a review page or QR code to make it easy

✅ Create a referral card or message customers can share

✅ Offer a small incentive to both parties (optional but powerful)

✅ Add review requests to your automations or job wrap-up process

💡 Pro Tip

The best time to ask for a review is right after someone says, “Thank you — this looks amazing!” Strike while the emotion is high.
